| CVE-2017-17805 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 4 more | 10 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 7 more | 2025-04-20 | 7.8 High |
| The Salsa20 encryption algorithm in the Linux kernel before 4.14.8 does not correctly handle zero-length inputs, allowing a local attacker able to use the AF_ALG-based skcipher interface (CONFIG_CRYPTO_USER_API_SKCIPHER) to cause a denial of service (uninitialized-memory free and kernel crash) or have unspecified other impact by executing a crafted sequence of system calls that use the blkcipher_walk API. Both the generic implementation (crypto/salsa20_generic.c) and x86 implementation (arch/x86/crypto/salsa20_glue.c) of Salsa20 were vulnerable. | ||||
| CVE-2017-16529 | 3 Canonical, Debian, Linux | 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel | 2025-04-20 | 6.6 Medium |
| The snd_usb_create_streams function in sound/usb/card.c in the Linux kernel before 4.13.6 allows local users to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds read and system crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted USB device. | ||||
| CVE-2017-17084 | 2 Debian, Wireshark | 2 Debian Linux, Wireshark | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Wireshark 2.4.0 to 2.4.2 and 2.2.0 to 2.2.10, the IWARP_MPA dissector could crash. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-iwarp-mpa.c by validating a ULPDU length. | ||||
| CVE-2017-17085 | 2 Debian, Wireshark | 2 Debian Linux, Wireshark | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In Wireshark 2.4.0 to 2.4.2 and 2.2.0 to 2.2.10, the CIP Safety dissector could crash. This was addressed in epan/dissectors/packet-cipsafety.c by validating the packet length. | ||||
| CVE-2017-13088 | 7 Canonical, Debian, Freebsd and 4 more | 13 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Freebsd and 10 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA and WPA2) that support 802.11v allows reinstallation of the Integrity Group Temporal Key (IGTK) when processing a Wireless Network Management (WNM) Sleep Mode Response frame, allowing an attacker within radio range to replay frames from access points to clients. | ||||
| CVE-2017-14064 | 4 Canonical, Debian, Redhat and 1 more | 11 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux and 8 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| Ruby through 2.2.7, 2.3.x through 2.3.4, and 2.4.x through 2.4.1 can expose arbitrary memory during a JSON.generate call. The issues lies in using strdup in ext/json/ext/generator/generator.c, which will stop after encountering a '\0' byte, returning a pointer to a string of length zero, which is not the length stored in space_len. | ||||
| CVE-2017-17405 | 3 Debian, Redhat, Ruby-lang | 13 Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux Desktop and 10 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| Ruby before 2.4.3 allows Net::FTP command injection. Net::FTP#get, getbinaryfile, gettextfile, put, putbinaryfile, and puttextfile use Kernel#open to open a local file. If the localfile argument starts with the "|" pipe character, the command following the pipe character is executed. The default value of localfile is File.basename(remotefile), so malicious FTP servers could cause arbitrary command execution. | ||||
| CVE-2017-15372 | 2 Debian, Sound Exchange Project | 2 Debian Linux, Sound Exchange | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| There is a stack-based buffer overflow in the lsx_ms_adpcm_block_expand_i function of adpcm.c in Sound eXchange (SoX) 14.4.2. A Crafted input will lead to a denial of service attack during conversion of an audio file. | ||||
| CVE-2017-3157 | 3 Apache, Debian, Redhat | 9 Openoffice, Debian Linux, Enterprise Linux and 6 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| By exploiting the way Apache OpenOffice before 4.1.4 renders embedded objects, an attacker could craft a document that allows reading in a file from the user's filesystem. Information could be retrieved by the attacker by, e.g., using hidden sections to store the information, tricking the user into saving the document and convincing the user to send the document back to the attacker. The vulnerability is mitigated by the need for the attacker to know the precise file path in the target system, and the need to trick the user into saving the document and sending it back. | ||||
| CVE-2017-3302 | 4 Debian, Mariadb, Oracle and 1 more | 10 Debian Linux, Mariadb, Mysql and 7 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |

| CVE-2017-3737 | 3 Debian, Openssl, Redhat | 4 Debian Linux, Openssl, Enterprise Linux and 1 more | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| OpenSSL 1.0.2 (starting from version 1.0.2b) introduced an "error state" mechanism. The intent was that if a fatal error occurred during a handshake then OpenSSL would move into the error state and would immediately fail if you attempted to continue the handshake. This works as designed for the explicit handshake functions (SSL_do_handshake(), SSL_accept() and SSL_connect()), however due to a bug it does not work correctly if SSL_read() or SSL_write() is called directly. In that scenario, if the handshake fails then a fatal error will be returned in the initial function call. If SSL_read()/SSL_write() is subsequently called by the application for the same SSL object then it will succeed and the data is passed without being decrypted/encrypted directly from the SSL/TLS record layer. In order to exploit this issue an application bug would have to be present that resulted in a call to SSL_read()/SSL_write() being issued after having already received a fatal error. OpenSSL version 1.0.2b-1.0.2m are affected. Fixed in OpenSSL 1.0.2n. OpenSSL 1.1.0 is not affected. | ||||
| CVE-2017-17670 | 2 Debian, Videolan | 2 Debian Linux, Vlc Media Player | 2025-04-20 | N/A |
| In VideoLAN VLC media player through 2.2.8, there is a type conversion vulnerability in modules/demux/mp4/libmp4.c in the MP4 demux module leading to a invalid free, because the type of a box may be changed between a read operation and a free operation. | ||||
