CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: usb: aqc111: Do not perform PM inside suspend callback
syzbot reports "task hung in rpm_resume"
This is caused by aqc111_suspend calling
the PM variant of its write_cmd routine.
The simplified call trace looks like this:
rpm_suspend()
usb_suspend_both() - here udev->dev.power.runtime_status == RPM_SUSPENDING
aqc111_suspend() - called for the usb device interface
aqc111_write32_cmd()
usb_autopm_get_interface()
pm_runtime_resume_and_get()
rpm_resume() - here we call rpm_resume() on our parent
rpm_resume() - Here we wait for a status change that will never happen.
At this point we block another task which holds
rtnl_lock and locks up the whole networking stack.
Fix this by replacing the write_cmd calls with their _nopm variants |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfs: Fix NULL pointer dereference in netfs_unbuffered_write() on retry
When a write subrequest is marked NETFS_SREQ_NEED_RETRY, the retry path
in netfs_unbuffered_write() unconditionally calls stream->prepare_write()
without checking if it is NULL.
Filesystems such as 9P do not set the prepare_write operation, so
stream->prepare_write remains NULL. When get_user_pages() fails with
-EFAULT and the subrequest is flagged for retry, this results in a NULL
pointer dereference at fs/netfs/direct_write.c:189.
Fix this by mirroring the pattern already used in write_retry.c: if
stream->prepare_write is NULL, skip renegotiation and directly reissue
the subrequest via netfs_reissue_write(), which handles iterator reset,
IN_PROGRESS flag, stats update and reissue internally. |
| Encrypted values in Fortra's GoAnywhere MFT prior to version 7.10.0 and GoAnywhere Agents prior to version 2.2.0 utilize a static IV which allows admin users to brute-force decryption of data. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fscache: delete fscache_cookie_lru_timer when fscache exits to avoid UAF
The fscache_cookie_lru_timer is initialized when the fscache module
is inserted, but is not deleted when the fscache module is removed.
If timer_reduce() is called before removing the fscache module,
the fscache_cookie_lru_timer will be added to the timer list of
the current cpu. Afterwards, a use-after-free will be triggered
in the softIRQ after removing the fscache module, as follows:

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
HID: amd_sfh: free driver_data after destroying hid device
HID driver callbacks aren't called anymore once hid_destroy_device() has
been called. Hence, hid driver_data should be freed only after the
hid_destroy_device() function returned as driver_data is used in several
callbacks.
I observed a crash with kernel 6.10.0 on my T14s Gen 3, after enabling
KASAN to debug memory allocation, I got this output:

| The seqfile handling (ip6fl_get_n function in ip6_flowlabel.c) in Linux kernel 2.6 up to 2.6.18-stable allows local users to cause a denial of service (hang or oops) via unspecified manipulations that trigger an infinite loop while searching for flowlabels. |
| SQL injection vulnerability in directory.php in Super Link Exchange Script 1.0 might allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL queries via the cat parameter. |
| The sys_timer_create function in posix-timers.c for Linux kernel 2.6.x allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) and possibly bypass memory limits or cause other processes to be killed by creating a large number of posix timers, which are allocated in kernel memory but are not treated as part of the process' memory. |
| Linux kernel does not properly save or restore EFLAGS during a context switch, or reset the flags when creating new threads, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (process crash), as demonstrated using a process that sets the Alignment Check flag (EFLAGS 0x40000), which triggers a SIGBUS in other processes that have an unaligned access. |
| Race condition in the __find_get_block_slow function in the ISO9660 filesystem in Linux 2.6.18 and possibly other versions allows local users to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) by mounting a crafted ISO9660 filesystem containing malformed data structures. |
| The nlmclnt_mark_reclaim in clntlock.c in NFS lockd in Linux kernel before 2.6.16 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (process crash) and deny access to NFS exports via unspecified vectors that trigger a kernel oops (null dereference) and a deadlock. |
| Buffer overflow in the lbs_process_bss function in drivers/net/wireless/libertas/scan.c in the libertas subsystem in the Linux kernel before 2.6.27.5 allows remote attackers to have an unknown impact via an "invalid beacon/probe response." |
| Stack-based buffer overflow in the hfs_cat_find_brec function in fs/hfs/catalog.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.28-rc1 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption or system crash) via an hfs filesystem image with an invalid catalog namelength field, a related issue to CVE-2008-4933. |
| formmail.php in Jetbox CMS 2.1 allows remote attackers to send arbitrary e-mails (spam) via modified recipient, _SETTINGS[allowed_email_hosts][], and subject parameters. |
| The do_extendedOp function in ibmslapd in IBM Tivoli Directory Server (TDS) 6.2 on Linux allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and daemon crash) via a crafted SecureWay 3.2 Event Registration Request (aka a 1.3.18.0.2.12.1 request). |
| net/bridge/netfilter/ebtables.c in the ebtables module in the netfilter framework in the Linux kernel before 2.6.33-rc4 does not require the CAP_NET_ADMIN capability for setting or modifying rules, which allows local users to bypass intended access restrictions and configure arbitrary network-traffic filtering via a modified ebtables application. |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in the fasync_helper function in fs/fcntl.c in the Linux kernel before 2.6.33-rc4-git1 allows local users to gain privileges via vectors that include enabling O_ASYNC (aka FASYNC or FIOASYNC) on a locked file, and then closing this file. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in Sun Java SE in JDK and JRE 5.0 before Update 22, JDK and JRE 6 before Update 17, SDK and JRE 1.3.x before 1.3.1_27, and SDK and JRE 1.4.x before 1.4.2_24 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via crafted HTTP headers, which are not properly parsed by the ASN.1 DER input stream parser, aka Bug Id 6864911. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in Sun Java SE in JDK and JRE 5.0 before Update 22, JDK and JRE 6 before Update 17, SDK and JRE 1.3.x before 1.3.1_27, and SDK and JRE 1.4.x before 1.4.2_24 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via crafted DER encoded data, which is not properly decoded by the ASN.1 DER input stream parser, aka Bug Id 6864911. |
| The MessageDigest.isEqual function in Java Runtime Environment (JRE) in Sun Java SE in JDK and JRE 5.0 before Update 22, JDK and JRE 6 before Update 17, SDK and JRE 1.3.x before 1.3.1_27, and SDK and JRE 1.4.x before 1.4.2_24 allows remote attackers to spoof HMAC-based digital signatures, and possibly bypass authentication, via unspecified vectors related to "timing attack vulnerabilities," aka Bug Id 6863503. |
