This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-8649, CVE-2017-8660, CVE-2017-8729, CVE-2017-8738, CVE-2017-8740, CVE-2017-8741, CVE-2017-8748, CVE-2017-8753, CVE-2017-8755, CVE-2017-8756, and CVE-2017-11764. |
Microsoft Edge in Microsoft Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, 1703, and Windows Server 2016 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user, due to the way that the Microsoft Edge scripting engine handles objects in memory, aka "Scripting Engine Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-8649, CVE-2017-8660, CVE-2017-8729, CVE-2017-8738, CVE-2017-8740, CVE-2017-8741, CVE-2017-8748, CVE-2017-8752, CVE-2017-8755, CVE-2017-8756, and CVE-2017-11764.
Stack buffer overflow in GfxState.cc in pdftocairo in Poppler before 0.56 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (application crash) via a crafted PDF document.
IrfanView 4.50 - 64bit with CADImage plugin version 12.0.0.5 allows attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service via a crafted .dwg file, related to a "Data Execution Prevention Violation starting at Unknown Symbol @ 0x0000700b00260112 called from CADIMAGE+0x00000000003d35ad."
Microsoft browsers in Microsoft Windows 7 SP1, Windows Server 2008 SP2 and R2 SP1, Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, Windows Server 2012 and R2, Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, 1703, and Windows Server 2016 allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user due to Microsoft browsers improperly accessing objects in memory, aka "Microsoft Browser Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-8669.
Microsoft Edge in Microsoft Windows 10 Gold, 1511, 1607, 1703, and Windows Server 2016 allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user due to the way that Microsoft browser JavaScript engines render content when handling objects in memory, aka "Scripting Engine Memory Corruption Vulnerability". This CVE ID is unique from CVE-2017-8634, CVE-2017-8635, CVE-2017-8636, CVE-2017-8638, CVE-2017-8639, CVE-2017-8640, CVE-2017-8641, CVE-2017-8645, CVE-2017-8646, CVE-2017-8647, CVE-2017-8656, CVE-2017-8657, CVE-2017-8670, CVE-2017-8671, CVE-2017-8672, and CVE-2017-8674.
In SWFTools, a memcpy buffer overflow was found in swfc.
In SWFTools, a memcpy buffer overflow was found in gif2swf.
In SWFTools, an address access exception was found in pdf2swf. FoFiTrueType::writeTTF()
analyzer/protocol/dnp3/DNP3.cc in Bro before 2.3.2 does not reject certain non-zero values of a packet length, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (buffer overflow or buffer over-read) via a crafted DNP3 packet.
A double-free vulnerability in str2host.c in ldns 1.7.0 have unspecified impact and attack vectors.
An issue in file() was introduced in commit 9611f31313a93aa036389c5f3b15eea53510d4d1 (Oct 2016) lets an attacker overwrite a fixed 20 bytes stack buffer with a specially crafted .notes section in an ELF binary. This was fixed in commit 35c94dc6acc418f1ad7f6241a6680e5327495793 (Aug 2017).
libcurl may read outside of a heap allocated buffer when doing FTP. When libcurl connects to an FTP server and successfully logs in (anonymous or not), it asks the server for the current directory with the `PWD` command. The server then responds with a 257 response containing the path, inside double quotes. The returned path name is then kept by libcurl for subsequent uses. Due to a flaw in the string parser for this directory name, a directory name passed like this but without a closing double quote would lead to libcurl not adding a trailing NUL byte to the buffer holding the name. When libcurl would then later access the string, it could read beyond the allocated heap buffer and crash or wrongly access data beyond the buffer, thinking it was part of the path. A malicious server could abuse this fact and effectively prevent libcurl-based clients to work with it - the PWD command is always issued on new FTP connections and the mistake has a high chance of causing a segfault. The simple fact that this has issue remained undiscovered for this long could suggest that malformed PWD responses are rare in benign servers. We are not aware of any exploit of this flaw. This bug was introduced in commit [415d2e7cb7](https://github.com/curl/curl/commit/415d2e7cb7), March 2005. In libcurl version 7.56.0, the parser always zero terminates the string but also rejects it if not terminated properly with a final double quote.
musl libc before 1.1.17 has a buffer overflow via crafted DNS replies because dns_parse_callback in network/lookup_name.c does not restrict the number of addresses, and thus an attacker can provide an unexpected number by sending A records in a reply to an AAAA query.
The tlslite library before 0.4.9 for Python allows remote attackers to trigger a denial of service (runtime exception and process crash).
The GNU C Library (aka glibc or libc6) before 2.27 contains an off-by-one error leading to a heap-based buffer overflow in the glob function in glob.c, related to the processing of home directories using the ~ operator followed by a long string.
The HTTP/2 experimental feature in Apache Traffic Server 5.3.x before 5.3.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds access and daemon crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via vectors related to the (1) frame_handlers array or (2) set_dynamic_table_size function.
Unisys Libra 43xx, 63xx, and 83xx, and FS600 class systems with MCP-FIRMWARE 40.0 before 40.0IC4 Build 270 might allow remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (data corruption or system crash) via vectors related to using program operators during EPSILON (level 5) based codefiles at peak memory usage, which triggers CPM stack corruption.
The scp_v0s_accept function in sesman/libscp/libscp_v0.c in the session manager in xrdp through 0.9.4 uses an untrusted integer as a write length, which allows local users to cause a denial of service (buffer overflow and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted input stream.
Stack-based buffer overflow in the logging functionality in the Preboot Policy service in Novell ZENworks Configuration Management (ZCM) allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via unspecified vectors.
