CVE-2026-47180 2 Paulsm, Python-zeroconf 2 Zeroconf, Python-zeroconf 2026-08-17 6.5 Medium
Zeroconf is a pure Python implementation of multicast DNS service discovery. Prior to 0.149.5, DNSIncoming._decode_labels_at_offset recurses once per DNS-name compression pointer, and a single mDNS packet carrying chained pointers can trigger a RecursionError that escapes DNSIncoming.__init__, causing sustained CPU burn, log flooding, and degraded mDNS-dependent features for unauthenticated hosts on the local link over UDP/5353 (224.0.0.251 / ff02::fb). This issue is fixed in version 0.149.5.
CVE-2026-74794 1 Scriban 1 Scriban 2026-08-17 7.5 High
Scriban before 6.6.0 contains an infinite recursion vulnerability in object rendering when the ObjectRecursionLimit property defaults to unlimited. Attackers can supply circular reference objects to the template context, exhausting stack space and triggering an uncatchable StackOverflowException that terminates the hosting process.
CVE-2026-74783 1 Scriban 1 Scriban 2026-08-17 7.5 High
Scriban versions 6.6.0 through 7.2.0 contain a non-enforcing ExpressionDepthLimit guard that fails to stop recursive descent parsing of deeply nested expressions. Attackers can supply templates with deeply nested parentheses, array initializers, object initializers, or unary operators to trigger an uncatchable StackOverflowException that immediately terminates the host process.
CVE-2026-74795 1 Scriban 1 Scriban 2026-08-17 7.5 High
Scriban before 6.6.0 contains an uncontrolled recursion vulnerability in its recursive-descent parser. The parser does not enforce a default expression depth limit (the ExpressionDepthLimit property in ParserOptions defaults to null/disabled), so an attacker who controls template input can supply a deeply nested template (e.g., thousands of nested parentheses or blocks) that exhausts thread stack space and raises a StackOverflowException. Because a StackOverflowException cannot be caught in .NET, this causes immediate, unrecoverable termination of the hosting process, resulting in a denial of service. Applications that process untrusted or user-supplied templates can be exploited remotely without authentication.
CVE-2026-67194 2 Courier-mta, Svarshavchik 3 Courier Mail Server, Courier Imap, Courier Mail Server 2026-08-14 6.5 Medium
Courier IMAP before 6.0.1 and Courier Mail Server before 2.0.2 allow authenticated IMAP users to crash the imapd process via deeply nested parenthesized SEARCH queries. The SEARCH command parser (alloc_search_key in searchinfo.C) recursively descends on nested parenthesized groups through a mutual recursion chain with alloc_search_andlist() and alloc_search_notkey(), with no depth limit. Courier IMAP has no overall command line length limit, making exploitation trivial. A single IMAP command with ~2500 nested parentheses overflows the 8MB default stack, causing SIGSEGV.
CVE-2026-53202 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-14 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/ivpu: Fix signed integer truncation in IPC receive Fix potential buffer overflow where firmware-supplied data_size is cast to signed int before being used in min_t(). Large unsigned values (>= 0x80000000) become negative, causing unsigned wraparound and oversized memcpy operations that can overflow the stack buffer. Change min_t(int, ...) to min() as both values are unsigned and can be handled by min() without explicit cast.
CVE-2026-62295 1 Hapifhir 1 Hl7 Fhir Core 2026-08-13 7.5 High
HAPI FHIR is a complete implementation of the HL7 FHIR standard for healthcare interoperability in Java. Prior to 6.9.11, the JSON utility parser in org.hl7.fhir.utilities.json.parser.JsonParser enforces no maximum nesting depth for arrays or objects. As a result, a small but deeply nested, syntactically valid FHIR JSON document can trigger unbounded readArray() or readObject() recursion, raising a StackOverflowError before structural validation runs. An attacker who can submit JSON resources for validation can thus crash the request thread, and services that do not isolate StackOverflowError safely may experience worker loss or process instability — a denial-of-service condition. This issue is fixed in version 6.9.11.
CVE-2026-64135 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-13 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (pmbus/adm1266) widen blackbox-info buffer to I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX adm1266_nvmem_read_blackbox() declares a 5-byte stack buffer and passes it to i2c_smbus_read_block_data() to retrieve the 4-byte BLACKBOX_INFO response. i2c_smbus_read_block_data() does not honour caller buffer sizes -- it memcpy()s data.block[0] bytes from the SMBus transaction (where data.block[0] is the length byte returned by the slave device, up to I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX = 32): memcpy(values, &data.block[1], data.block[0]); If the device returns any block length above 5, the call overflows the caller's 5-byte stack buffer before the post-call if (ret != 4) return -EIO; check has a chance to reject the response. Widen the local buffer to I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX so the helper has room for any well-formed SMBus block response, matching the convention used by the other i2c_smbus_read_block_data() callers in this driver.
CVE-2025-71393 1 Surrealdb 1 Surrealdb 2026-08-13 6.5 Medium
SurrealDB before 2.2.2 with scripting enabled fails to properly enforce recursion limits when native functions contain embedded JavaScript that issues new queries. Authenticated attackers can bypass the recursion limit by chaining native and JavaScript function calls to trigger infinite recursion and exhaust server memory.
CVE-2026-64219 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-11 7 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Validate payload length and link_index in dc_process_dmub_aux_transfer_async [Why&How] dc_process_dmub_aux_transfer_async() copies payload->length bytes into a 16-byte stack buffer (dpaux.data[16]) guarded only by an ASSERT(), which is a no-op in release builds. If a caller ever passes length > 16 this results in a stack buffer overflow via memcpy. Additionally, link_index is used to dereference dc->links[] without bounds checking against dc->link_count, risking an out-of-bounds access. Replace the ASSERT with a hard runtime check that returns false when payload->length exceeds the destination buffer size, and add a bounds check for link_index before it is used. CVE-2026-62296 1 Hapifhir 1 Hl7 Fhir Core 2026-08-10 7.5 High
HAPI FHIR is a complete implementation of the HL7 FHIR standard for healthcare interoperability in Java. Prior to 6.9.11, XhtmlParser.java imposes no maximum element nesting depth, so a deeply nested text.div narrative triggers unbounded recursion between parseElementInner() and parseElement(), raising a StackOverflowError. An attacker who can submit FHIR resources containing such narratives can thus crash a parsing or validation worker thread, affecting validator services and any application that parses attacker-supplied FHIR JSON or XML. This issue is fixed in version 6.9.11.
CVE-2026-67552 1 Apache 2 Qpid Proton-dotnet, Qpid Proton Dotnet 2026-08-07 7.5 High

CVE-2026-4224 1 Python 2 Cpython, Python 2026-08-05 7.5 High
When an Expat parser with a registered ElementDeclHandler parses an inline document type definition containing a deeply nested content model a C stack overflow occurs.
CVE-2024-53090 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.5 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: afs: Fix lock recursion afs_wake_up_async_call() can incur lock recursion. The problem is that it is called from AF_RXRPC whilst holding the ->notify_lock, but it tries to take a ref on the afs_call struct in order to pass it to a work queue - but if the afs_call is already queued, we then have an extraneous ref that must be put... calling afs_put_call() may call back down into AF_RXRPC through rxrpc_kernel_shutdown_call(), however, which might try taking the ->notify_lock again. This case isn't very common, however, so defer it to a workqueue.
