CVSS v3.1 |
| A vulnerability in the interaction between the TCP Intercept feature and the Snort 3 detection engine on Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to bypass configured policies on an affected system. Devices that are configured with Snort 2 are not affected by this vulnerability.
This vulnerability is due to a logic error when handling embryonic (half-open) TCP connections. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted traffic pattern through an affected device. A successful exploit could allow unintended traffic to enter the network protected by the affected device. |
| Proxygen lacked a generalized slow-consumer detection mechanism in its core HTTP session layer. A remote, unauthenticated attacker could exploit HTTP/2 flow-control by setting SETTINGS_INITIAL_WINDOW_SIZE to 0 or withholding WINDOW_UPDATE frames, causing the server to buffer complete response bodies in memory indefinitely for stalled streams. By opening many simultaneous streams requesting large resources while preventing the server from transmitting responses, an attacker could induce unbounded memory growth leading to service degradation, resource exhaustion, or denial of service. Versions v2017.01.16.00 through v2026.07.20.00 are affected. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rust_binder: use a u64 stride when cleaning up the offsets array
Allocation's Drop walks the offsets array (binder_size_t = u64 entries),
cleaning up the objects, but it used usize instead of u64 for both the
stride and the per-entry read.
On 64-bit kernels (usize == u64) this is harmless, but on 32-bit kernels
it walks the 8-byte entries in 4-byte steps, iterating an N-entry array
2N times, and reads the always-zero high word as offset 0, cleaning up
the object at offset 0 N extra times. As a result the referenced node or
handle ends up with a lower reference count than it actually has (a
refcount over-decrement), and binder's reference accounting is corrupted;
for example, the owner can be notified of a strong reference release
(BR_RELEASE) even though references still remain.
Change the stride to u64, and read each entry as a u64, narrowing it to
usize with try_into().
On 32-bit ARM, when this over-decrement would drive a count below zero,
the driver's existing refcount guard refuses it and fires:
rust_binder: Failure: refcount underflow! |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
iio: accel: kxsd9: fix runtime PM imbalance on write_raw() error
kxsd9_write_raw() takes a runtime PM reference with pm_runtime_get_sync()
but returns -EINVAL directly when a scale with a non-zero integer part is
requested, skipping the matching pm_runtime_put_autosuspend(). This leaks
a runtime PM usage-counter reference on every such write, after which the
device can no longer autosuspend.
Set the error code and fall through to the existing put instead of
returning early. |
| When an affected product receives a valid CIP message from an unauthorized or unintended source to Port 2222/TCP, Port 2222/UDP, Port 44818/TCP, or Port 44818/UDP that instructs the CPU to stop logic execution and enter a fault state, a DoS can occur. This situation could cause loss of availability and a disruption of communication with other connected devices.

| In updateState of GraphicsDriverEnableAngleAsSystemDriverController.java, there is a possible persistent dos issue due to an unusual root cause. This could lead to local denial of service with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| IBM WebSphere Application Server - Liberty 19.0.0.7 through 26.0.0.5 and IBM WebSphere Application Server 9.0, and 8.5 and WebSphere Application Server Liberty are vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by sending a specially-crafted request. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause the server to consume memory resources. |
| The kex_input_kexinit function in kex.c in OpenSSH 6.x and 7.x through 7.3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) by sending many duplicate KEXINIT requests. NOTE: a third party reports that "OpenSSH upstream does not consider this as a security issue." |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in the Peer Objects component (aka iepeers.dll) in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, 6 SP1, and 7 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via vectors involving access to an invalid pointer after the deletion of an object, as exploited in the wild in March 2010, aka "Uninitialized Memory Corruption Vulnerability." |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: target: tcm_loop: Drain commands in target_reset handler
tcm_loop_target_reset() violates the SCSI EH contract: it returns SUCCESS
without draining any in-flight commands. The SCSI EH documentation
(scsi_eh.rst) requires that when a reset handler returns SUCCESS the driver
has made lower layers "forget about timed out scmds" and is ready for new
commands. Every other SCSI LLD (virtio_scsi, mpt3sas, ipr, scsi_debug,
mpi3mr) enforces this by draining or completing outstanding commands before
returning SUCCESS.
Because tcm_loop_target_reset() doesn't drain, the SCSI EH reuses in-flight
scsi_cmnd structures for recovery commands (e.g. TUR) while the target core
still has async completion work queued for the old se_cmd. The memset in
queuecommand zeroes se_lun and lun_ref_active, causing
transport_lun_remove_cmd() to skip its percpu_ref_put(). The leaked LUN
reference prevents transport_clear_lun_ref() from completing, hanging
configfs LUN unlink forever in D-state:
INFO: task rm:264 blocked for more than 122 seconds.
rm D 0 264 258 0x00004000

Fix this by making tcm_loop_target_reset() actually drain commands:
1. Issue TMR_LUN_RESET via tcm_loop_issue_tmr() to drain all commands that
the target core knows about (those not yet CMD_T_COMPLETE).
2. Use blk_mq_tagset_busy_iter() to iterate all started requests and
flush_work() on each se_cmd — this drains any deferred completion work
for commands that already had CMD_T_COMPLETE set before the TMR (which
the TMR skips via __target_check_io_state()). This is the same pattern
used by mpi3mr, scsi_debug, and libsas to drain outstanding commands
during reset. |
| The WordClient interface in Alt-N Technologies MDaemon 9.6.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (NULL pointer dereference and application crash) via a crafted HTTP POST request. NOTE: the provenance of this information is unknown; the details are obtained solely from third party information. |
| Unspecified kernel GDI functions in Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4; XP SP2; and Server 2003 Gold, SP1, and SP2 allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service (possibly persistent restart) via a crafted Windows Metafile (WMF) image that causes an invalid dereference of an offset in a kernel structure, a related issue to CVE-2005-4560. |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in the Client/Server Run-time Subsystem (CSRSS) in Microsoft Windows Vista does not properly handle connection resources when starting and stopping processes, which allows local users to gain privileges by opening and closing multiple ApiPort connections, which leaves a "dangling pointer" to a process data structure. |
| Unspecified vulnerability in the Service Tag Registry on Sun Solaris 10, and Sun Service Tag before 1.1.3, allows local users to cause a denial of service (disk consumption) via unspecified vectors. |
| ecma/kjs_html.cpp in KDE JavaScript (KJS), as used in Konqueror in KDE 3.5.5, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) by accessing the content of an iframe with an ftp:// URI in the src attribute, probably due to a NULL pointer dereference. |
| IBM DB2 UDB 9.1 before Fixpak 4 does not properly handle use of large numbers of file descriptors, which might allow attackers to have an unknown impact involving "memory corruption." NOTE: the vendor description of this issue is too vague to be certain that it is security-related. |
| The rb_str_format function in Ruby 1.8.4 and earlier, 1.8.5 before 1.8.5-p231, 1.8.6 before 1.8.6-p230, 1.8.7 before 1.8.7-p22, and 1.9.0 before 1.9.0-2 allows context-dependent attackers to trigger memory corruption via unspecified vectors related to alloca, a different issue than CVE-2008-2662, CVE-2008-2663, and CVE-2008-2725. NOTE: as of 20080624, there has been inconsistent usage of multiple CVE identifiers related to Ruby. The CVE description should be regarded as authoritative, although it is likely to change. |
| libicu in International Components for Unicode (ICU) 3.8.1 and earlier attempts to process backreferences to the nonexistent capture group zero (aka \0), which might allow context-dependent attackers to read from, or write to, out-of-bounds memory locations, related to corruption of REStackFrames. |
| Use-after-free vulnerability in the Trend Micro HouseCall ActiveX control 6.51.0.1028 and 6.6.0.1278 in Housecall_ActiveX.dll allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted notifyOnLoadNative callback function. |
| Cisco Secure ACS 3.x before 3.3(4) Build 12 patch 7, 4.0.x, 4.1.x before 4.1(4) Build 13 Patch 11, and 4.2.x before 4.2(0) Build 124 Patch 4 does not properly handle an EAP Response packet in which the value of the length field exceeds the actual packet length, which allows remote authenticated users to cause a denial of service (CSRadius and CSAuth service crash) or possibly execute arbitrary code via a crafted RADIUS (1) EAP-Response/Identity, (2) EAP-Response/MD5, or (3) EAP-Response/TLS Message Attribute packet. |
