CVSS v3.1 |
| Redis through 8.0.3 allows memory consumption via a multi-bulk command composed of many bulks, sent by an authenticated user. This occurs because the server allocates memory for the command arguments of every bulk, even when the command is skipped because of insufficient permissions. NOTE: this is disputed by the Supplier because abuse of the commands network protocol is not a violation of the Redis Security Model. |
| go-crypto-winnative Go crypto backend for Windows using Cryptography API: Next Generation (CNG). Prior to commit f49c8e1379ea4b147d5bff1b3be5b0ff45792e41, calls to `cng.TLS1PRF` don't release the key handle, producing a small memory leak every time. Commit f49c8e1379ea4b147d5bff1b3be5b0ff45792e41 contains a fix for the issue. The fix is included in versions 1.23.6-2 and 1.22.12-2 of the Microsoft build of go, as well as in the pseudoversion 0.0.0-20250211154640-f49c8e1379ea of the `github.com/microsoft/go-crypto-winnative` Go package. |
| A memory leak could occur when a remote peer abruptly closes the socket without sending a GOAWAY notification. Additionally, if an invalid header was detected by nghttp2, causing the connection to be terminated by the peer, the same leak was triggered. This flaw could lead to increased memory consumption and potential denial of service under certain conditions.
This vulnerability affects HTTP/2 Server users on Node.js v18.x, v20.x, v22.x and v23.x. |
| A vulnerability in the Eclipse Vert.x toolkit causes a memory leak in TCP servers configured with TLS and SNI support. When processing an unknown SNI server name assigned the default certificate instead of a mapped certificate, the SSL context is erroneously cached in the server name map, leading to memory exhaustion. This flaw allows attackers to send TLS client hello messages with fake server names, triggering a JVM out-of-memory error. |
| A vulnerability in the Internet Key Exchange Version 2 (IKEv2) module of Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a memory leak, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition.
This vulnerability is due to improper parsing of IKEv2 packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a continuous stream of crafted IKEv2 packets to an affected device. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to partially exhaust system memory, causing system instability like being unable to establish new IKEv2 VPN sessions. A manual reboot of the device is required to recover from this condition. |

| A vulnerability classified as problematic has been found in FFmpeg up to 6e26f57f672b05e7b8b052007a83aef99dc81ccb. This affects the function audio_element_obu of the file libavformat/iamf_parse.c of the component IAMF File Handler. The manipulation of the argument num_parameters leads to memory leak. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The identifier of the patch is 0526535cd58444dd264e810b2f3348b4d96cff3b. It is recommended to apply a patch to fix this issue. |
| On affected platforms running Arista EOS with SNMP configured, if “snmp-server transmit max-size” is configured, under some circumstances a specially crafted packet can cause the snmpd process to leak memory. This may result in the snmpd process being terminated (causing SNMP requests to time out until snmpd is restarted) and memory pressure for other processes on the switch. Increased memory pressure can cause processes other than snmpd to be at risk for unexpected termination as well. |
| A vulnerability in the Eclipse Vert.x toolkit results in a memory leak due to using Netty FastThreadLocal data structures. Specifically, when the Vert.x HTTP client establishes connections to different hosts, triggering the memory leak. The leak can be accelerated with intimate runtime knowledge, allowing an attacker to exploit this vulnerability. For instance, a server accepting arbitrary internet addresses could serve as an attack vector by connecting to these addresses, thereby accelerating the memory leak. |
| A vulnerability, which was classified as problematic, was found in TechPowerUp GPU-Z 2.23.0. Affected is the function sub_140001880 in the library GPU-Z.sys of the component 0x8000645C IOCTL Handler. The manipulation leads to memory leak. It is possible to launch the attack on the local host. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| Undici is an HTTP/1.1 client for Node.js. Prior to versions 5.29.0, 6.21.2, and 7.5.0, applications that use undici to implement a webhook-like system are vulnerable. If the attacker set up a server with an invalid certificate, and they can force the application to call the webhook repeatedly, then they can cause a memory leak. This has been patched in versions 5.29.0, 6.21.2, and 7.5.0. As a workaound, avoid calling a webhook repeatedly if the webhook fails. |
| LTI JupyterHub Authenticator is a JupyterHub authenticator for LTI. Prior to version 1.6.3, the LTI 1.1 validator stores OAuth nonces in a class-level dictionary that grows without bounds. Nonces are added before signature validation, so an attacker with knowledge of a valid consumer key can send repeated requests with unique nonces to gradually exhaust server memory, causing a denial of service. This issue has been patched in version 1.6.3. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring: fix fget leak when fs don't support nowait buffered read
Heming reported a BUG when using io_uring doing link-cp on ocfs2. [1]
Do the following steps can reproduce this BUG:
mount -t ocfs2 /dev/vdc /mnt/ocfs2
cp testfile /mnt/ocfs2/
./link-cp /mnt/ocfs2/testfile /mnt/ocfs2/testfile.1
umount /mnt/ocfs2
Then umount will fail, and it outputs:
umount: /mnt/ocfs2: target is busy.
While tracing umount, it blames mnt_get_count() not return as expected.
Do a deep investigation for fget()/fput() on related code flow, I've
finally found that fget() leaks since ocfs2 doesn't support nowait
buffered read.

This was introduced by commit a196c78b5443 in v5.18. Fix it by don't
re-assign req->file if it has already been assigned.

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
clk: mediatek: fix of_iomap memory leak
Smatch reports:
drivers/clk/mediatek/clk-mtk.c:583 mtk_clk_simple_probe() warn:
'base' from of_iomap() not released on lines: 496.
This problem was also found in linux-next. In mtk_clk_simple_probe(),
base is not released when handling errors
if clk_data is not existed, which may cause a leak.
So free_base should be added here to release base. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
fs/xattr: missing fdput() in fremovexattr error path
In the Linux kernel, the fremovexattr() syscall calls fdget() to acquire a
file reference but returns early without calling fdput() when
strncpy_from_user() fails on the name argument. In multi-threaded processes
where fdget() takes the slow path, this permanently leaks one
file reference per call, pinning the struct file and associated kernel
objects in memory. An unprivileged local user can exploit this to cause
kernel memory exhaustion. The issue was inadvertently fixed by commit
a71874379ec8 ("xattr: switch to CLASS(fd)"). |
| A memory leak exists in the Grassroots DICOM library (GDCM). The bug occurs when parsing malformed DICOM files with non-standard VR types in file meta information. The vulnerability leads to vast memory allocations and resource depletion, triggering a denial-of-service condition. A maliciously crafted file can fill the heap in a single read operation without properly releasing it. |
| A vulnerability in the Internet Key Exchange version 2 (IKEv2) feature of Cisco IOS Software, Cisco IOS XE Software, Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software, and Cisco Secure Firewall Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to trigger a memory leak, resulting in a denial of service (DoS) condition on an affected device.
This vulnerability is due to improper parsing of IKEv2 packets. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted IKEv2 packets to an affected device. A successful exploit of Cisco IOS Software and IOS XE Software could allow the attacker to cause the affected device to reload, resulting in a DoS condition. A successful exploit of Cisco Secure Firewall ASA Software and Secure FTD Software could allow the attacker to partially exhaust system memory, resulting in system instability, such as the inability to establish new IKEv2 VPN sessions. A manual reboot of the device is required to recover from this condition. |
