CVSS v3.1 |
Out-of-bounds write in Samsung Notes prior to version 4.4.45.5 allows local attackers to write out-of-bounds memory.
An out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the JPEG2000Codec::DecodeByStreamsCommon functionality of Mathieu Malaterre Grassroot DICOM 3.0.23. A specially crafted DICOM file can lead to a heap buffer overflow. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability.
| An out-of-bounds write in the SmiFlash SMM module of ASUS FA507NU and FA507NV BIOS allows a local administrator to cause a system crash (BSOD) or BIOS corruption via a crafted software SMI (SW SMI) request with an oversized length value.Refer to the '
Security Update for ASUS FA507NV / FA507NU BIOS ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
Out-of-bounds write in libsavsac.so prior to SMR Jul-2026 Release 1 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/rxe: Fix OOB in free_rd_atomic_resources()
free_rd_atomic_resources() iterates using qp->attr.max_dest_rd_atomic.
Updating max_dest_rd_atomic before freeing the old array can make the
free path walk past the old allocation and trigger a slab out-of-bounds
write catched by KASAN:

Out of bounds write in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
A memory corruption vulnerability exists in FFmpeg before 8.1. The RTP encoding process. In the nal_send function in libavformat/rtpenc_h264_hevc.c, a negative size parameter (size=-3) is passed to memcpy when transmitting H.264/HEVC streams via RTP using a crafted input file. This was detected using AddressSanitizer.
OpenEXR is the reference implementation and specification for the EXR image format, widely used in the motion picture industry. OpenEXR versions 3.1.0 through 3.2.10, 3.3.0 through 3.3.12, and 3.4.0 through 3.4.13 are vulnerable on ILP32 builds to an out-of-bounds write. When a crafted B44-compressed scanline EXR causes the logical scratch size to truncate before allocation and uncompress_b44_impl() writes using the attacker-controlled channel width, allowing denial of service and memory corruption. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.11, 3.3.13, and 3.4.14.
VLC media player computes the size of a picture buffer with 32-bit arithmetic and allocates from the wrapped result. In AllocatePicture in src/misc/picture.c the running total is accumulated as i_bytes += p->i_pitch * p->i_lines, and both plane_t fields are declared int in include/vlc_picture.h, so the multiplication is evaluated at 32 bits and wraps before it is widened to the size_t accumulator. The overflow check that precedes it divides in 64-bit arithmetic and therefore does not constrain the product, and the subsequent comparison against PICTURE_SW_SIZE_MAX examines the already wrapped value, so both guards pass. aligned_alloc then reserves the small wrapped size while the decoder writes scanlines sized from the original dimensions. A crafted PNG whose IHDR declares large width and height reaches this path through the image demuxer, whose only size guard is on the input file's byte count rather than the declared dimensions, and the decoder in modules/codec/png.c writes past the end of the allocation with attacker-influenced length and content. Opening the file directly or through a playlist entry is sufficient, with no non-default settings.
Out-of-bounds write in RPC Runtime allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
Out of bounds write in WebGL in Google Chrome on on Android prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Critical)
Out of bounds write in ANGLE in Google Chrome on on Windows prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
Out-of-bounds write in Microsoft Office allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
Out of bounds write in Media in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to potentially execute arbitrary code outside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
Out-of-bounds write in Windows Imaging Component allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
OpenIDC/cjose is a C library implementing the Javascript Object Signing and Encryption (JOSE). Prior to version 0.6.2.5, cjose's JWE decryption path for the AES Key Wrap key-management algorithms (`alg` = `A128KW`, `A192KW`, `A256KW`) does not validate the length of the attacker-supplied `encrypted_key` (JWE Encrypted Key) before unwrapping it into a fixed-size, heap-allocated Content Encryption Key (CEK) buffer. A remote, unauthenticated attacker who can submit a crafted JWE to an application that decrypts it with an AES-KW symmetric key can trigger an out-of-bounds heap write, corrupting the heap. This leads at minimum to a crash (denial of service) and, depending on the heap layout and allocator, may be leverageable for further memory-corruption impact. `cjose_jwe_import()` / `cjose_jwe_decrypt()` are pre-authentication entry points: they parse and process fully attacker-controlled input. Upgrade to cjose 0.6.2.5 to receive a patch. If upgrading is not immediately possible, reject the AES Key Wrap algorithms (`A128KW`/`A192KW`/`A256KW`) for untrusted JWEs at the application layer.
Memory corruption in Codecs in Google Chrome prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code inside the sandbox via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
IBM i 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, and 7.3 could allow a local authenticated attacker to cause a denial of service due to an off-by-one write in the LPD queue name parser.
IBM i 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, and 7.3 could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to a buffer overflow.
Substance3D - Sampler is affected by an out-of-bounds write vulnerability that could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
