| Concrete CMS below 9.5.3 is vulnerable to Stored XSS via the Date Format field in the Page Attribute Display block. A user with edit_page_contents permissions could store a payload which executes in the browser of any visitor who viewed a page where the block was configured to display a date-type attribute. | Concrete CMS below 9.5.3 does not apply HTML output escaping to the file description and tags fields when rendering the Document Library block, so a user with permission to edit file properties could store a script payload that executed in the browser of any visitor to a page displaying the block with the description or tags column enabled, including unauthenticated visitors. Successful exploitation could allow theft of session data or actions performed in the visitor's context. | Concrete CMS 9.5.2 and below is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) in the Express "Clear Entries" function (POST /index.php/dashboard/system/express/entities/delete_entries) because the controller records but does not enforce a failed CSRF token check, allowing the destructive operation to proceed when the token is missing or invalid. A remote unauthenticated attacker can force an authenticated administrator who visits an attacker-controlled page to permanently delete all entries belonging to an attacker-selected Express entity on a web application to which the administrator is currently authenticated. Because the default Contact Express object ships with a fixed entity UUID, the target identifier can be obtained without dashboard access. | The Simple Ajax Chat – Add a Fast, Secure Chat Box plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Chat Message in all versions up to, and including, <= 20260811 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The nonce protecting chat message submission is publicly visible on the chat page, rendering it ineffective as an authentication barrier and allowing fully unauthenticated attackers to submit malicious messages that are stored persistently and rendered to all visitors on every page load. |

| Issue summary: ChaCha20-Poly1305 and AES-OCB decryption with an empty
ciphertext can report success without verifying the supplied authentication
tag when the operation is finalized by calling the EVP_Cipher() function.
Impact summary: Applications calling EVP_Cipher() on an empty ciphertext and
expecting the call to check the AEAD tag may accept forged messages.
CWE: CWE-354 (Improper Validation of Integrity Check Value)
Description: The EVP_Cipher() API call for AEAD ciphers behaves like a one
shot encryption and decryption call. It also verifies the AEAD tag after the
decryption operation. However for AES-OCB and ChaCha20-Poly1305 ciphers
it skipped the AEAD tag verification when an empty ciphertext was passed to
the function. The callers of this function might believe that a successful
return indicates a valid AEAD tag for these ciphers, even when that has not
truly been validated in this case.
FIPS impact: no
The FIPS modules in 4.0, 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, and 3.0 are not affected by this CVE
as the affected algorithms are not FIPS approved and thus not implemented
in the FIPS module. |

| The PublishPress Capabilities – User Role Editor, Access Permissions, User Capabilities, Admin Menus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 2.50.0. This is due to the `addPluginCapabilities()` function unconditionally granting the Editor role all 15 `manage_capabilities_*` capabilities — including `manage_capabilities`, `manage_capabilities_roles`, `manage_capabilities_settings`, and `manage_capabilities_backup` — via a hard-coded `$eligible_roles = ['administrator', 'editor']` assignment that runs automatically on the first `admin_init` after plugin activation with no administrator opt-in, persisting the grants directly to the database. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Editor-level access to elevate their privileges to a site-wide capability manager, enabling them to create, rename, and delete non-system roles, modify capabilities of non-administrator roles, restore role backups, and write arbitrary plugin options whose names begin with `cme_`, `capsman`, `pp_capabilities`, or `presspermit` via `update_option()`. The escalation stops short of full Administrator access, as WordPress's `map_meta_cap` layer still prevents the escalated Editor from granting administrator-only capabilities to other roles; however, all role-management and plugin-settings functionality gated solely on `manage_capabilities_*` capabilities remains fully accessible. |
