Access of resource using incompatible type ('type confusion') in Windows Core Messaging allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
A security issue was discovered in MongoDB where an authenticated user with readWrite privileges could crash the mongod server process. By specifying a custom WiredTiger storage configuration option with an incompatible value during collection creation, a user could cause a type confusion in the storage engine layer. When documents were subsequently read from the misconfigured collection, the resulting mismatch in expected data format led to corrupted memory interpretation and a server crash. The crafted collection configuration persists across restarts, requiring manual operator intervention to remediate.
RouterOS SSH enters the connection protocol after a client-requested rekey even though user authentication was never attempted, allowing an unauthenticated client to open a session channel and send an exec request. On affected builds the server dispatches the command, enabling unauthenticated creation, overwrite, and reconstruction of files in the RouterOS managed file namespace, including support files containing configuration and diagnostic data. This issue was fixed in versions: 6.49.21 (Long-term), 7.23.4 (Long-term) and 7.24.2 (Stable)

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
flow_dissector: do not dissect PPPoE PFC frames
RFC 2516 Section 7 states that Protocol Field Compression (PFC) is NOT
RECOMMENDED for PPPoE. In practice, pppd does not support negotiating
PFC for PPPoE sessions, and the flow dissector driver has assumed an
uncompressed frame until the blamed commit.
During the review process of that commit [1], support for PFC is
suggested. However, having a compressed (1-byte) protocol field means
the subsequent PPP payload is shifted by one byte, causing 4-byte
misalignment for the network header and an unaligned access exception
on some architectures.
The exception can be reproduced by sending a PPPoE PFC frame to an
ethernet interface of a MIPS board, with RPS enabled, even if no PPPoE
session is active on that interface:

In Power HAL, there is a possible escalation of privilege due to type confusion. This could lead to local escalation of privilege if a malicious actor has already obtained the System privilege. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. Patch ID: ALPS11165543; Issue ID: MSV-9012.
A vulnerability has been found in HKUDS AI-Trader up to d03ff6c056b32ced735adf7c19ed8175adb1c8df. The affected element is an unknown function of the file service/server/routes_agent.py of the component selfRegister API Endpoint. Such manipulation of the argument initial_balance leads to business logic errors. The attack may be launched remotely. This attack is characterized by high complexity. The exploitability is described as difficult. The exploit has been disclosed to the public and may be used. This product operates on a rolling release basis, ensuring continuous delivery. Consequently, there are no version details for either affected or updated releases. profit_percent_for_display() divides by INITIAL_CAPITAL + deposited, and challenge scoring's return_pct also normalises against the attacker-inflated starting_cash. So an inflated initial_balance does not yield artificial percent returns - it inflates the absolute cash/equity column only, which is a cosmetic/leaderboard-gaming concern in a simulated game.

jq is a command-line JSON processor. Prior to version 1.8.2, the _strindices builtin in jq's src/builtin.c passes its arguments directly to jv_string_indexes() without verifying they are strings, and jv_string_indexes() in src/jv.c relies solely on assert() checks that are stripped in release builds compiled with -DNDEBUG. This allows an attacker to crash jq trivially with input like _strindices(0), and by crafting a numeric value whose IEEE-754 bit pattern maps to a chosen pointer, achieve a controlled pointer dereference and limited memory read/probe primitive. Any deployment that evaluates untrusted jq filters against a release build is vulnerable. This issue has been patched in commit fdf8ef0f0810e3d365cdd5160de43db46f57ed03, which is part of version 1.8.2.
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: dwc3: fix dwc3_readl() and dwc3_writel() calls in dwc3_ulpi_setup()
The dwc3_ulpi_setup() calls the register read and write calls with
dwc3->regs when both these calls take the dwc3 structure directly.
Chnage these two calls to fix the following sparse warning, and
possibly a nasty bug in the dwc3_ulpi_setup() code:
drivers/usb/dwc3/core.c:796:45: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different address spaces)
drivers/usb/dwc3/core.c:796:45: expected struct dwc3 *dwc

drivers/usb/dwc3/core.c:798:40: warning: incorrect type in argument 1 (different address spaces)
drivers/usb/dwc3/core.c:798:40: expected struct dwc3 *dwc

async-tar is a tar archive reading/writing library for async Rust. Prior to version 0.6.1, async-tar mis-applies a buffered PAX size extension to an intermediary extension header (a GNU longname L, a GNU longlink K, or a PAX x/g header) instead of to the next file entry. POSIX requires a PAX extended-header record set to describe the next file entry, never an intervening extension header. Because poll_next_raw (src/archive.rs) threads the buffered PAX records into the size computation of whatever raw header it reads next — and that header can be an intermediary L — the stream cursor is advanced by an attacker-chosen amount when the L body is consumed. The parser then desyncs relative to a POSIX-correct tar parser (e.g. GNU tar), reading subsequent bytes at the wrong block boundary. This issue has been patched in version 0.6.1.
fastify is a fast and low overhead web framework for Node.js. Versions of fastify before 5.12.1 are affected by a schema validation bypass when a request body schema targets a root primitive value. When the schema validates a top-level primitive such as an integer, Ajv can coerce a JSON string into the expected type during validation, but Fastify does not replace the root request body with the coerced value, so the route handler receives the original unvalidated string. As a result, a request that should have failed validation can reach application logic with a value that does not satisfy the schema, which can undermine integrity and access-control checks that rely on the validated type. Users should upgrade to fastify 5.12.1, which fixes the mismatch. No known workarounds are available.
Access of resource using incompatible type ('type confusion') in Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based) allows an unauthorized attacker to execute code over a network.
A type confusion vulnerability in the iked process of WatchGuard Fireware OS allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code by sending specially crafted network traffic.
Weblate is a web based localization tool. Prior to 2026.8, an authenticated user can change the account's primary email through PUT or PATCH requests to /api/users/{username}/ without verifying the new address, allowing a later team invitation for that address to be accepted without access to the intended recipient's mailbox. This issue is fixed in version 2026.8.
A vulnerability has been found in macrozheng mall up to 1.0.3. The affected element is an unknown function of the file /order/paySuccess of the component Payment Status Endpoint. The manipulation of the argument orderId leads to enforcement of behavioral workflow. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. The vendor deleted the GitHub issue for this vulnerability without any explanation.
