CVE-2026-86995 2026-09-09 N/A
n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, the Git node validated the repository parameter for fetch or pull, but setUpstream wrote a branch..remote value into repository configuration without validating it. A later fetch or pull resolved the remote from that configuration instead of the checked parameter. An authenticated workflow editor could therefore point Git at any local repository readable by the n8n process and receive its contents through packages/nodes-base/nodes/Git/GenericFunctions.ts. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2.
CVE-2026-86251 1 H3js 1 H3 2026-09-09 5.9 Medium
h3 versions before 1.15.9 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the serveStatic utility. A double-decoding flaw allows a request path containing double-encoded dot sequences (e.g. %252e%252e) to be decoded to %2e%2e, which survives resolveDotSegments() because that function only checks for literal '.' characters. When the resulting asset ID is resolved by URL-based backends (CDN, S3, object storage), %2e%2e is interpreted as '..' per RFC 3986, enabling path traversal to read arbitrary files from the backend.
CVE-2026-53581 2026-09-09 9 Critical
OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.9 of opnsense/core and version 26.4_20 of BE/opnsense/core, a path traversal vulnerability in the NTP configuration module allows an attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on the system as the root user. By manipulating the GPS or PPS serial port parameter, an attacker with access to the NTP configuration can escape the intended directory and force the system to write user-controlled data to any file on the filesystem. Version 26.1.9 of opnsense/core and version 26.4_20 of BE/opnsense/core patch the issue.
CVE-2026-79904 1 Adobe 1 Photoshop Mobile 2026-09-09 5 Medium
Photoshop Mobile is affected by an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability that could result in a Security feature bypass. A low-privileged attacker could leverage this vulnerability to access unauthorized files or directories outside the intended restrictions. Exploit depends on conditions beyond the attacker's control. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file.
CVE-2026-77110 1 Adobe 3 Commerce, Commerce B2b, Magento 2026-09-09 7.6 High
Adobe Commerce is affected by an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability that could result in a Security feature bypass. An attacker with high privileges could leverage this vulnerability to access unauthorized files or directories outside the intended restrictions, causing a limited disruption to availability. Exploitation of this issue does not require user interaction. Scope is changed.
CVE-2026-86775 2026-09-09 8.6 High
knowns (npm package) versions <= 0.29.1 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the Document API. The HTTP handler in internal/server/routes/docs.go normalizes the user-supplied document path with cleanDocPath(), which strips leading/trailing slashes and the .md suffix but does not neutralize ../ traversal sequences, and internal/storage/doc_store.go then builds the target path with filepath.Join(ds.docsDir(), filepath.FromSlash(doc.Path)+".md") without verifying that the resolved path remains inside the documents directory. In the default deployment, where the Management API is unauthenticated and bound to all interfaces, a remote unauthenticated attacker can supply a traversal payload (for example {"path": "../../../../tmp/knowns_pwn_marker"} to POST /api/docs, or an encoded path to GET /api/docs/...) to read, create, overwrite, or delete arbitrary files with a .md extension anywhere on the host filesystem and to create arbitrary directories via os.MkdirAll. This can expose sensitive data stored in other projects' documentation, corrupt or destroy files, and provide an arbitrary-write primitive that may be chained toward code execution. The issue is fixed in version 0.30.0.
CVE-2026-78254 1 Apache 1 Ant 2026-09-09 7.4 High
The ftp and scp tasks of Apache Ant can download files from a remote server. A malicious server can provide relative paths that allow it to write outside of the dedicated target directory for the download, making it possible to overwrite files of the attacker's choice using the permissions of the user running Ant in versions prior to Ant 1.10.18. In order to exploit this vulnerability, the server would either have to be malicious or be subject to a machine-in-the-middle attack. Additionally in the case of scp or the ftp task using ftps the server must pass the server identity checks performed by the tasks. For ftp tasks not using ftps a malicious server could act as a machine-in-the-middle to provide malicious files. Starting with Ant 1.10.18 both tasks will prevent writing outside of the destination directory by default. An option is available to disable this behavior in the unlikely case that the old behavior is required by existing build files. Mitigations: Users of scp and ftp (when using ftps) in any version of Ant should not bypass server identity checks. Users of ftp not using ftps should switch to ftps where possible. All users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Ant 1.10.18, which fixes this issue.
CVE-2026-54293 1 Nltk 1 Nltk 2026-09-09 7.5 High
NLTK (Natural Language Toolkit) is a suite of open source Python modules, data sets, and tutorials supporting research and development in Natural Language Processing. Prior to 3.10.0-rc1, nltk.data.load() in NLTK is vulnerable to path traversal via URL-encoded path separators and traversal segments when using the nltk: URL scheme. The unsafe-path regex check is performed before url2pathname() decodes the %xx sequences (a classic decode-after-check / TOCTOU-style flaw), allowing an attacker to bypass the protection documented in NLTK's SECURITY.md and read arbitrary files from the filesystem. While literal traversal strings such as ../../../etc/passwd are correctly blocked, encoded variants such as %2fetc%2fpasswd, %2e%2e%2f..., and ..%2f..%2f slip past the regex and are subsequently decoded into a real filesystem path. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.10.0-rc1.
CVE-2025-67030 1 Codehaus-plexus 1 Plexus-utils 2026-09-09 8.8 High
Directory Traversal vulnerability in the extractFile method of org.codehaus.plexus.util.Expand in plexus-utils before 6d780b3378829318ba5c2d29547e0012d5b29642. This allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code

CVE-2026-58015 2 Gnome, Redhat 15 Glib, Cert Manager, Discovery and 12 more 2026-09-09 5.9 Medium
A flaw was found in GLib. The D-Bus client-side implementation of the DBUS_COOKIE_SHA1 SASL authentication mechanism does not validate the cookie_context parameter received from the server. A malicious D-Bus server can supply a cookie_context containing path traversal sequences, causing the client to read an arbitrary file and exfiltrate sensitive data by verifying guessed file contents against a generated hash.
CVE-2026-87535 2026-09-09 N/A
Information loss or omission in Safebrowsing in Google Chrome on on Mac prior to 153.0.8010.36 allowed a remote attacker to bypass system access restrictions via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: Medium)
