CVSS v3.1 |
In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14, a user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles could inject arbitrary Search Processing Language (SPL) commands through the geostats command. The injected SPL runs with the permissions of another authenticated user after that user initiates the attacker-controlled geostats search in Splunk Web. The injected SPL could expose all relevant data available to the second user, including stored credentials, and modify lookup files that the second user has permission to change. The vulnerability is possible because the geostats command does not sufficiently validate input before Splunk Enterprise processes it. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the affected user by tricking them into initiating a request within their browser. The user who does not hold the "admin" or "power" Splunk roles should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. For more information see geostats (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/spl-search-reference/10.0/search-commands/geostats) in the Splunk documentation.
Vulnerability in the Oracle Work in Process product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Internal Operations). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows low privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Work in Process. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash (complete DOS) of Oracle Work in Process as well as unauthorized update, insert or delete access to some of Oracle Work in Process accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 7.1 (Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:H).
eml_parser serves as a python module for parsing eml files and returning various information found in the e-mail as well as computed information. Prior to 3.0.2, eml_parser.routing.noparenthesis in eml_parser/routing.py removes parenthesized CFWS comments from Received: headers with a regex-based fix-point loop whose running time is quadratic in the nesting depth. A single Received: header with 5,000 nested parentheses causes approximately 1.3 seconds of CPU saturation per parsed message, and doubling the nesting depth approximately quadruples the running time. An attacker can submit relatively small EML files that consume multiple seconds of processing time, causing worker latency, queue backpressure, and possible service-level outages in synchronous gateways, sandboxes, and real-time triage pipelines. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.2.
The MCP PHP SDK (Composer package mcp/sdk) is the official Model Context Protocol SDK for PHP. In versions 0.5.0 through 0.7.0, the HTTP client transport reads a Server-Sent Events response stream incrementally and appends each chunk to an in-memory buffer with no upper bound. The buffer is only flushed when an SSE event delimiter, a double newline, is found, so a remote MCP server that streams response bytes without ever sending the delimiter causes the buffer to grow without limit. A malicious, compromised, or man-in-the-middle-controlled server that the client connects to over the HTTP transport can exploit this to exhaust the client process's memory, triggering a fatal allocation error or OS out-of-memory kill and denying service to the MCP client. The issue affects any client using HttpTransport against an untrusted server endpoint and does not require authentication or user interaction beyond initiating the connection. This issue is fixed in version 0.7.1.
A flaw has been found in zackees transcribe-anything up to 4.1.0. Affected is the function ytdlp_download of the file src/transcribe_anything/ytldp_download.py of the component Yt-dlp Download. This manipulation of the argument url causes os command injection. The attack may be initiated remotely. The attack's complexity is rated as high. The exploitability is told to be difficult. The exploit has been published and may be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
A vulnerability was detected in TOTOLINK N600R 4.3.0cu.7647_B20210106. The impacted element is the function getCurrentTime of the file /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi. Performing a manipulation of the argument ntp_server results in command injection. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit is now public and may be used.
brace-expansion through 5.0.7 is vulnerable to denial of service via memory exhaustion. The expand() function limits the number of results with a max option (default 100,000) but does not bound the length of each result string. By chaining multiple brace groups, an attacker keeps the result count under the limit while making each result progressively longer, so total memory scales with both count and string length until the process hits a fatal, uncatchable out-of-memory error. About 7.5 KB of input ('{a,b}'.repeat(1500)) crashes a default Node.js process. Any application that passes attacker-influenced strings to brace-expansion.expand() - directly or transitively via minimatch / glob brace patterns - can be crashed by a small request. Fixed in 5.0.8 by adding a maxLength option (default 4,000,000) that bounds accumulated output and intermediate arrays.
CakePHP Authentication is an authentication plugin for CakePHP that can also be used in PSR-7 based applications. Versions before 2.11.2, from 3.0.0 through 3.3.6, and from 4.0.0 through 4.2.0 allow authentication bypass and potential CPU or memory exhaustion when CookieAuthenticator uses unencrypted, forgeable legacy tokens. This issue is fixed in versions 2.11.2, 3.3.7, and 4.2.1.
eml_parser serves as a python module for parsing eml files and returning various information found in the e-mail as well as computed information. Prior to 3.0.2, eml_parser.parser.HeaderParser.header_fetch_parse in eml_parser/parser.py uses email.utils.getaddresses() to parse address-bearing e-mail headers. A deeply nested CFWS comment construct exhausts the standard-library recursive descent parser's call stack and raises RecursionError, which is not caught and therefore aborts parsing of the entire message. An attacker can disrupt SOC pipelines that process untrusted EML files, although callers already need to handle exceptions from malformed or pathological messages. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.2.
libp2p is a JavaScript implementation of the libp2p networking stack. Prior to version 4.2.9, the reservation refresh path in reservation-store.ts reuses the same retimeableSignal but unconditionally registers another abort listener on every refresh. As a result, a remote peer can repeatedly send valid RESERVE requests for the same reservation, causing unbounded listener and closure growth in @libp2p/circuit-relay-v2 relay servers and leading to denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 4.2.9.
PraisonAI is a multi-agent teams system. Prior to praisonai 4.6.58, the MCP HTTP Stream mcp_post handler creates a new _sessions entry for every initialize request but does not call _cleanup_sessions or enforce a maximum. An unauthenticated caller can exhaust memory. The fix invokes cleanup and limits sessions through PRAISONAI_MCP_MAX_SESSIONS. This issue is fixed in version 4.6.58.
When reading a specially crafted ZIP archive, or a derived formats, an Apache Ant build can be made to allocate large amounts of memory that leads to an out of memory error, even for small inputs. This can be used to disrupt builds using Apache Ant. Commonly used derived formats from ZIP archives are for instance JAR files and many office files. Apache Ant prior to 1.9.16 and 1.10.11 were affected.
When reading a specially crafted TAR archive an Apache Ant build can be made to allocate large amounts of memory that finally leads to an out of memory error, even for small inputs. This can be used to disrupt builds using Apache Ant. Apache Ant prior to 1.9.16 and 1.10.11 were affected.
IBM AIX 7.2, and 7.3 and IBM PowerVM VIOS 4.1 could allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service due to improper validation of an array size field.
Ghidra before 12.1.3 contains an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in the PDB parser that allows attackers to terminate the Ghidra process by supplying a crafted PDB file with an oversized parameters section. The AbstractPdb deserialization routine reads all remaining parameters into an unbounded list, causing uncontrolled heap growth that triggers an OutOfMemoryError which bypasses exception handling and crashes the application.
libgit2 is a portable C implementation of the Git core methods provided as a linkable library with a solid API, allowing to build Git functionality into your application. Prior to 1.8.6 and 1.9.5, git_delta_apply in src/libgit2/delta.c trusts the attacker-controlled res_sz value parsed by hdr_sz from a delta object header and passes that amount to git__malloc before validating delta instructions. Malicious pack data supplied through git_clone, git_fetch, git_remote_fetch, git_indexer_append, or a local attacker-supplied repository can use a very small multi-level OFS_DELTA chain to retain extremely large allocations and exhaust memory. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.6 and 1.9.5.
Denial-of-service in the Widget component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 154, Firefox ESR 153.1, Thunderbird 154, and Thunderbird 153.1.
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: atlantic: free stranded TX buffers on ring deinit
aq_vec_deinit() drains the TX rings with a single aq_ring_tx_clean()
call, which frees at most AQ_CFG_TX_CLEAN_BUDGET (256) descriptors and
stops at hw_head, which no longer moves once aq_vec_stop() has stopped
the hardware and NAPI. Completed descriptors beyond the budget and
everything still posted in [hw_head, sw_tail) keep their skb or
xdp_frame when the interface goes down: aq_vec_ring_free() then frees
the buffer ring and the references are lost for good.
Today this is a silent memory leak on every interface down under
TX/XDP_TX load. With the conversion of the RX path to page_pool posted
for net-next it becomes much more visible: XDP_TX frames carry fragment
references on the RX ring's page_pool, so a single stranded frame keeps
the pool's inflight count above zero forever. page_pool_destroy() then
never completes, the pool is leaked together with its pages, and
"page_pool_release_retry() stalled pool shutdown" is warned every 60
seconds from that point on, on every ifdown, XDP detach or ring resize
under XDP_TX load.
Bring back aq_ring_tx_deinit() as it was before the removal and use it
for teardown again, with one extension: TX rings can hold xdp_frames
nowadays, so release those too. They are returned with
xdp_return_frame() since this runs in process context. |
A flaw was found in libdm. A local attacker could craft a malicious Logical Volume Manager (LVM) metadata configuration with deeply nested structures. This could lead to uncontrolled recursion in the libdm configuration file parser, exhausting the stack and causing any LVM command reading the metadata to crash. This vulnerability results in a Denial of Service (DoS) for affected systems.
A flaw was found in FreeIPA. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending oversized form POST requests to the `/ipa/migration/migration.py` endpoint. This can force the migration handler to read attacker-controlled request bodies fully into memory, leading to increased memory usage, slower request handling, and potential service disruption or denial of service.
