CVE-2026-74676 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-25 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vt: add permission check for KDSKBMETA ioctl KDSKBMETA modifies keyboard meta mode but lacks the !perm check that all other keyboard setter ioctls in vt_k_ioctl() enforce, allowing a process to change meta mode on a non-controlling console without authorization.
CVE-2026-74712 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-25 9.3 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vdpa/mlx5: Fix buffer length in create_direct_keys() We have seen in our CI the following KASAN message: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in cmd_exec+0x550/0xca0 [mlx5_core] Read of size 272 at addr 0000000176795020 by task qemu-system-s39/82764 [...] [<000011388ab3a7a0>] cmd_exec+0x550/0xca0 [mlx5_core] [<000011388ab3b61c>] mlx5_cmd_exec_cb+0x25c/0x4f0 [mlx5_core] [<000011388b21e82e>] mlx5_vdpa_exec_async_cmds+0x22e/0x5e0 [mlx5_vdpa] [<000011388b21fd44>] create_direct_keys+0x954/0xef0 [mlx5_vdpa] [...] The buggy address is located 4128 bytes inside of allocated 4384-byte region [0000000176794000, 0000000176795120) So in essence we read 16 bytes beyond 4384-byte allocation. create_direct_keys calculates the pointer and length for in and out buffers. The size calculation for in includes the entire structure size (out + in + mtt[]) but the pointer passed to cmd_exec points only to the 'in' field, skipping the 'out' field. This causes mlx5_copy_to_msg() to read beyond the allocated buffer by sizeof(out) bytes when copying command data. Properly calculate the input size to match the pointer and allocation size.
CVE-2026-74649 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-25 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: fix missing shared-key auth challenge length check The WEP shared-key authentication handler uses the challenge-text element's attacker-controlled length without checking it against the fixed 128-byte chg_txt buffer. In OnAuthClient() the length from rtw_get_ie() - up to 255 - is used to perform memcpy() into the 128-byte pmlmeinfo->chg_txt, so a malicious AP sending a malformed WLAN_EID_CHALLENGE element can overflow/underfill chg_txt by up to 127 bytes. It is reachable over the air, before association, during shared-key authentication. In the case of an overflow, the driver can write out of bounds. In the case of an underfill, the driver can echo stale buffer memory. The challenge text is defined to be exactly 128 octets, which is already provided as the WLAN_AUTH_CHALLENGE_LEN define; require the element to be exactly that length before use.
CVE-2026-74648 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-25 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: validate monitor transmit frame lengths rtw_cfg80211_monitor_if_xmit_entry() removes the radiotap header and then reads the 802.11 frame control field without checking that a base 802.11 header remains. The data path also pulls the calculated 802.11, QoS and SNAP header span before confirming that the skb contains it. A truncated frame can therefore cause out-of-bounds reads or leave insufficient data for the Ethernet address writes. Reject frames that do not contain the base 802.11 header and data frames that do not contain their complete calculated header span.
CVE-2026-74579 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-25 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_payload: fix mask build for partial field offload nft_payload_offload_mask() builds the offload match mask for a payload expression that covers only part of a header field. For a partial IPv6 address match (field_len = 16, priv_len = 1) that shift is 1 << 120, which is undefined on the 32-bit int operand. It also trims only one word, so the remaining words stay 0xffffffff (and when priv_len is a multiple of 4 the trim is skipped entirely), leaving the mask covering more bytes than the rule matches. UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds in net/netfilter/nft_payload.c:278:20 shift exponent 120 is too large for 32-bit type 'int' ... The match is byte-granular and struct nft_data is zero-initialised, so the correct mask is simply the first priv_len bytes set to 0xff. Set those bytes directly and drop the word/shift trimming; this removes the undefined shift and no longer over-masks the trailing bytes.
CVE-2026-71869 1 Orval-labs 1 Orval 2026-08-25 N/A
Orval generates type-safe JavaScript clients in TypeScript from OpenAPI v3 and Swagger v2 specifications. Prior to 8.21.0, a ${...} expression or backtick in an array item default is emitted into a module-level template literal emitted by zod schema generation without safe encoding. This permits attacker-controlled JavaScript to be evaluated when the generated zod schema module is imported, resulting in code execution in the developer, CI, test, or application environment. The affected code is packages/zod/src/index.ts function formatDefaultValue. This issue is fixed in version 8.21.0.
CVE-2026-75147 1 Ffmpeg 1 Ffmpeg 2026-08-25 7.1 High
FFmpeg before commit 983dae9 contains an out-of-bounds read in the AV1 RTP packetizer (libavformat/rtpenc_av1.c). The keyframe detection loop that searches for a sequence header OBU advanced its pointer and remaining-size counter by the encoded header length plus the OBU payload size without first bounding the OBU size against the remaining data. A crafted OBU size causes the remaining-size counter to wrap to a positive value, causing the next loop iteration to dereference a pointer beyond the end of the packet buffer. A crafted AV1 input packet muxed to RTP triggers the out-of-bounds read.
CVE-2026-71864 1 Orval-labs 1 Orval 2026-08-25 N/A
Orval generates type-safe JavaScript clients in TypeScript from OpenAPI v3 and Swagger v2 specifications. Prior to 8.21.0, a double quote in a header parameter name is emitted into the generated request-validation zod.object({...}) schema without safe encoding. This permits attacker-controlled JavaScript to be evaluated when the generated zod schema module is imported, resulting in code execution in the developer, CI, test, or application environment. The affected code is packages/zod/src/index.ts and header request-validation generation. This issue is fixed in version 8.21.0.
CVE-2026-62292 1 Struktur 1 Libheif 2026-08-25 N/A
libheif is a HEIF and AVIF file format decoder and encoder. From 1.19.0 until 1.23.1, a crafted uncompressed HEIF image using generic zlib unci full-item compression can crash an application that decodes an advertised tile with heif_image_handle_decode_image_tile(). In libheif/codecs/uncompressed/unc_decoder.cc, unc_decoder::fetch_tile_data() computes a large tile offset and unc_decoder::get_compressed_image_data_uncompressed() validates it with range_start_offset plus range_size. For the last advertised tile (4095, 4095), the addition can wrap to zero, bypass the bounds check, and pass an invalid source pointer and a one-terabyte length to memcpy. The observed result is an out-of-bounds read and process crash; opening the file alone does not trigger the issue because tile decoding is required. This issue is fixed in version 1.23.1.
CVE-2026-75976 1 Trendnet 1 Tew-823dru 2026-08-25 9.9 Critical
A weakness has been identified in TRENDnet TEW-823DRU 1.1.02b01. Impacted is the function strcpy of the file /cgi-bin/wan.cgi of the component NVRAM. This manipulation of the argument wan_l2tp_password causes stack-based buffer overflow. The attack can be initiated remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks.
CVE-2026-21752 1 Hcltech 1 Hive 2026-08-24 7.5 High
HCL Hive is affected by a use of vulnerable third-party components which could allow an attacker unauthorized access or compromise of the system by exploiting publicly documented security flaws.
CVE-2026-18349 1 Microchip 1 Sama5d4 2026-08-24 N/A
Improper protection against voltage and clock glitches vulnerability in Microchip SAMA5D4 allows Hardware Fault Injection. This issue affects SAMA5D4.
CVE-2026-13212 1 Zephyrproject 1 Zephyr 2026-08-24 8.8 High
The Zephyr virtio driver does not validate the descriptor-chain head id that the virtio device writes into the used ring. In virtio_isr() (drivers/virtio/virtio_common.c), the device-written vq->used->ring[idx].id is used directly as an index into vq->recv_cbs[] and vq->desc[], which are both allocated with exactly vq->num entries. recv_cbs[] holds {cb, opaque} callback entries, and the indexed callback pointer is then invoked as cbe.cb(cbe.opaque, used_len). Because the id is consumed as a 16-bit value with no bound check, a malicious or compromised virtio backend (an untrusted hypervisor, or an untrusted hardware/peer-processor virtio device on a PCI or MMIO transport) can supply an id far beyond vq->num. This causes an out-of-bounds read of a {function pointer, argument} pair from heap memory beyond recv_cbs[], after which the driver calls that attacker-shaped pointer in the guest's interrupt context. No guest privileges or user interaction are required; the backend triggers it by writing the shared used ring and raising the queue interrupt. The result is an arbitrary / attacker-influenced function-pointer call in the Zephyr guest, i.e. a control-flow-hijack primitive that can lead to code execution or, at minimum, a reliable crash. The fix rejects any used-ring id >= vq->num before indexing recv_cbs[]/desc[] or invoking the callback. This affects builds using CONFIG_VIRTIO with the PCI or MMIO transport.
CVE-2026-71553 1 Apostrophecms 1 Apostrophecms 2026-08-24 N/A
ApostropheCMS is an open-source Node.js content management system. In 4.32.0 and earlier, PATCH /api/v1/article/:id accepts the inherited path toString.call and passes it through the utility module to apos.util.set() and apos.util.get(), allowing an authenticated editor to overwrite the shared Object.prototype.toString function's call property and cause a persistent process-wide denial of service until restart.
CVE-2026-54758 1 Notepad-plus-plus 1 Notepad++ 2026-08-24 7.8 High
Notepad++ is a free and open-source source code editor. Prior to 8.9.7, the expandNppEnvironmentStrs function in PowerEditor/src/WinControls/StaticDialog/RunDlg/RunDlg.cpp copies a Notepad++ variable name between $( and ) into the fixed-size wchar_t str[MAX_PATH] stack buffer without bounding the m loop index, allowing a name of 260 or more characters to corrupt adjacent stack data, terminate the process through __report_gsfailure, and potentially execute code. This issue is fixed in version 8.9.7.
CVE-2026-78180 2 Alibaba-fusion, Next 2 Next, Next 2026-08-24 7.3 High
A security flaw has been discovered in alibaba-fusion next up to 1.27.34. This issue affects the function ConfigProvider.getContextProps of the file components/dialog/index.tsx of the component deepMerge. Performing a manipulation of the argument locale results in improperly controlled modification of object prototype attributes. The attack may be initiated remotely. The reported GitHub issue was closed automatically due to inactivity.
CVE-2026-21751 1 Hcltech 1 Hive 2026-08-24 7.4 High
HCL Hive is affected by a cryptographic primitive with a risky implementation which could allow an attacker unauthorized lateral compromise or widespread credential leakage if a single internal component is breached.
CVE-2025-68833 1 Hcltech 1 Hive 2026-08-24 5.3 Medium
HCL Hive Keycloak IAM Instance is affected by insufficient granularity of access control which could allow an attacker unauthorized access to resources.
CVE-2026-19874 1 Konami 1 Metal Gear Online 3 2026-08-24 9.1 Critical
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Konami's Metal Gear Online 3, originating from improper validation of lobby data fields related to kicked players. The affected function processes a list of kicked player identifiers using the lobby data key "kick_num" to determine the number of entries, and individual kicked player IDs supplied via keys in the format "kicked_id_%i". The function does not validate that "kick_num" falls within the expected bounds. The game design limits matches to a maximum of 16 players, and the corresponding buffer for storing kicked player IDs is sized accordingly. If "kick_num" exceeds this limit, the function continues writing the provided player IDs past the end of the intended buffer and into adjacent memory regions. These adjacent regions contain Steam callback handler structures responsible for processing lobby data updates, lobby messages, and other related events. By supplying an oversized "kick_num" value and appropriate "kicked_id_%i" fields, an attacker can overwrite fields within the callback handler structures, including function pointers and callback argument values. Successful exploitation may enable control-flow hijacking, potentially allowing arbitrary code execution within the game process.
CVE-2026-76070 1 Netis-systems 1 Nc63 2026-08-24 9.8 Critical
Netis NC63 firmware through V3.0.0.3327 contains a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to overwrite saved stack state by submitting an oversized Base64-encoded password to the login handler in /bin/netis.cgi. Attackers can exploit the custom Base64 decoder's lack of output length validation against the fixed-size stack buffer to achieve remote code execution with root privileges, as the Boa web server executes the CGI environment as root.
