Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. Prior to versions 7.0.16 and 8.0.5,IKEv2 parser state could grow without bounds while storing client transforms. Repeated crafted UDP traffic may cause Suricata to consume excessive memory, potentially resulting in denial of service. Versions 7.0.16 and 8.0.5 fix the issue. Some workarounds are available. Disable IKE application-layer parsing if it is not needed. Alternatively, use a rule to bypass ike flows after the first packets like `alert ike any any -> any any (sid: 2; flow.pkts_toserver: > 256; bypass; noalert;)`.

Starting in version 8.0.0 and prior to version 8.0.5, LDAP transaction state could store an unbounded number of responses. Because LDAP can be processed over UDP, crafted traffic may cause Suricata to consume excessive memory, potentially resulting in denial of service. Version 8.0.5 contains a fix. As a workaround, disable LDAP application-layer parsing where it is not required. Alternatively, use a rule like `alert ldap any any -> any any (sid: 1; ldap.responses.count: >1024; bypass;)`.

Crafted DNP3 traffic may cause Suricata to consume excessive memory, potentially resulting in denial of service. Versions 7.0.16 and 8.0.5 contain a fix. As a workaround, disable DNP3 (which is not enabled by default) if it is not needed, and/or define a limited `stream.reassembly.depth` (0 or absent is unlimited).

Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling in ZenHive mpp allows an unauthenticated remote client to drain the fee-payer wallet through concurrent sponsored payments, denying service to legitimate payers once it is empty. MPP.Methods.Tempo.FeePayerPolicy enforces its ceilings (max_gas, max_fee_per_gas, max_priority_fee_per_gas, the worst-case gas_limit * max_fee_per_gas <= max_total_fee budget cap, and a validity window) against one transaction at a time, and nothing accounts for exposure across concurrent requests. reserve_hash_atomic/2 is keyed on the transaction hash, so it prevents duplicate broadcast of the same signed transaction but not N distinct sponsored transactions carrying distinct expiring nonces. Committed sponsor exposure is therefore N times max_total_fee, bounded by nothing in the library, and the default 900 second validity window lets co-signed transactions stay broadcastable and uncounted for that entire period. This issue affects mpp: from 0.2.0 before 0.12.0.

Starting in version 8.0.0 and prior to version 8.0.5, when Lua rule execution is enabled, the Lua sandbox memory limit was not consistently enforced for new allocations. Certain Lua allocation patterns could exceed `security.lua.max-bytes` without triggering the intended memory limit, making the configured sandbox limit unreliable. This requires Lua rules to be enabled and an affected Lua script/rule to be loaded. Version 8.0.5 contains a fix. As a workaround, disable `security.lua.allow-rules` unless Lua rules are required.

The `gdbusauth` authentication mechanism fails to enforce proper length limitations on data lines read from a client. An unauthenticated local or remote attacker can exploit this lack of input validation by sending excessively long streams of data, causing the application to consume massive amounts of system memory and CPU, potentially leading to a crash or system hang.

Traefik is an open source HTTP reverse proxy and load balancer. From 2.8.2 until 2.11.56 and 3.7.12, HTTP/3 entrypoints do not apply entryPoints..transport.respondingTimeouts.readTimeout because the timeout is enforced on a TCP connection and the HTTP/3 server has no corresponding QUIC stream deadline. An unauthenticated client can use a slow request body, trickling data indefinitely while holding a request and an upstream connection open and exhausting backends with bounded connection pools. This issue is fixed in 2.11.56 and 3.7.12.
